Eduardo “Edu” Ruiz Corrales has been a coach at Bardogs since 2024. Through his own training experiences and injuries, Edu has developed a deep understanding of the human body. He knows what pain feels like — and, above all, how to deal with it responsibly. He takes both minor and more significant complaints seriously and supports rebuilding movements to be clean, controlled and pain-free. His approach is sustainable, technically sound and free of unnecessary pressure. Edu’s calisthenics journey began at the age of 15 in a traditional gym in his native Costa Rica, where he early on discovered his enthusiasm for bodyweight exercises. Since 2018 Edu has lived in Switzerland, deepening his knowledge through continuous training, practice and coaching. Over the years he has gained experience in outdoor group training and in collaboration with organizations such as ASVZ, Laboratorium.cc and street-workout.com. His pedagogical background from his studies in Costa Rica shapes his calm, clear and supportive coaching style.
Probably the biggest misconception in sports: "No pain, no gain." Pain does not belong in training. Prepare your body, and you'll make real progress without pain.
