Purpose of the website

The website provides general information about Bardogs as well as calisthenics training and offers.

General information on the collection, processing and use of personal data

Personal data are all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, for example names, addresses, telephone numbers or e-mail addresses that express a person's identity.

We collect, process and use personal data (including IP addresses) only if this is necessary for the performance of a contract or for carrying out pre-contractual measures, or if processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests.

  • Contact details such as name, telephone number, e-mail addresses, address, date of birth
  • Communication data such as your IP address, the MAC addresses of devices used such as smartphone or computer, device and settings information
  • Purchase history data such as purchase dates including information about products or services purchased
  • Other personal data, such as credit card details, bank account information and data on professional career

Log files

Each time you use the Internet, certain information is automatically transmitted by your web browser and stored by us in so-called log files.

We retain log files to detect malfunctions and for security reasons (e.g., to investigate attempted attacks) for as long as required for those specified purposes and subsequently delete or anonymize them. Log files whose further retention is necessary for evidentiary purposes are exempt from deletion until the respective incident is finally clarified and may, in individual cases, be passed on to law enforcement authorities. The storage of log files serves our legitimate interests in the trouble-free and correct operation of our website.

The following information is, in particular, stored in the log files:

  • IP address (internet protocol address) of the device from which the online offering is accessed;
  • Internet address of the website from which the online offering was called up (so-called origin or referrer URL);
  • Name of the service provider via which access to the online offering is made;
  • Name of the retrieved files or information;
  • Date and time as well as duration of the access;
  • Amount of data transferred;
  • Operating system and information about the internet browser used including installed add-ons (e.g., for a password manager);
  • HTTP status code (e.g., "request successful" or "requested file not found").

Analytics

Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) are used on the website bardogs.ch. The information collected about the use of the websites is stored on the servers of the tool providers.

With the help of the analytics tools we are able to collect and analyze data about the use of our website by visitors. This allows us to determine when and from which region which page views occurred.

Other data that are collected include, for example, file names of the files accessed, browsers used, features used or the time spent on the website.

Bardogs has a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both the web offering and advertising. If prior consent was requested when visiting our website (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), processing is based on your consent, which you can revoke at any time with future effect.

Detailed information about the analytics tools used can be found in our Cookie Policy .

Disclosure of data

Your personal data will generally only be transferred by us to other controllers to the extent this is necessary for the performance of a contract, we or the third party have an overriding legitimate interest in the disclosure, or you have given your consent.

Furthermore, data may be transferred to other controllers to the extent we are obliged to do so by law or by enforceable official or judicial order.

Service providers

We engage external service providers for tasks such as marketing services, DevOps, data hosting, shipping and debugging. We have carefully selected these providers and regularly monitor them, in particular their careful handling of and the security of the data stored with them. All service providers are contractually obligated by us to maintain confidentiality and to comply with legal requirements.

Transfer to recipients outside the EEA

We may also transfer personal data to recipients located outside the EEA in so-called third countries. In such cases, before the transfer we ensure that the recipient either provides an adequate level of data protection through appropriate contractual arrangements or, if necessary, that your consent to the transfer has been obtained.

Information on data storage: location & retention periods

Your data are primarily stored in Switzerland and Germany. Due to various service providers, data are also stored in other EU countries and within the USA.

We generally retain your data for as long as is necessary to provide our services and the associated features or we have a legitimate interest in further retention (e.g., we may still have a legitimate interest in postal marketing after performance of a contract). After that, we delete your personal data except for data that we must retain to fulfill legal obligations (e.g., we are required by tax and commercial retention periods to keep documents such as contracts and invoices for a certain period).

Marketing tools

We use various tools for marketing activities. When these tools are used, your browser may establish a direct connection to the servers of the respective tool providers. As a result, the provider receives the information that your browser has accessed the respective page of our offering. Log files similar to those described under section 5 are also transmitted to the servers of the respective providers and may be stored there. The provider or its servers may be located outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA (e.g., in the USA).

Data exchange takes place via third-party cookies.

Further information on the purpose, scope, further processing and use of the data can be found in our Cookie Policy and in the respective terms and privacy notices.

Security

Our employees and the service providers we commission are obligated to maintain confidentiality and to comply with the provisions of applicable data protection laws.

We take all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure an appropriate level of protection and to protect the data we manage, in particular against the risks of accidental or unlawful destruction, manipulation, loss, alteration or unauthorized disclosure or access.

You have the right to obtain information from us about the processing of your data. In this respect, you can assert a right of access to the personal data we process about you.

The data will be made available to you within 60 working days of receipt of your request.

Right to rectification and deletion

You may require us to correct incorrect data. To the extent the legal requirements are met, you may request completion or deletion of your data.

Please contact us in writing or by phone to request deletion of your data. Contact details can be found under Contact on this page.

Data portability

To the extent the legal requirements are met, you may request that data you have provided to us be transmitted to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or — where technically feasible — transmitted to a third party.

Right to object

Objection to direct marketing

You can object at any time to the processing of your personal data for advertising purposes ("objection to advertising"). Please note that for organizational reasons there may be overlap between your objection and the use of your data in an already ongoing campaign.

Objection to processing based on the legal basis "legitimate interest"

You also have the right to object at any time to processing by us insofar as it is based on the legal basis "legitimate interest." We will then stop processing your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, in accordance with legal requirements.

Revocation of consent

If you have given us consent to process your data, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing of your data up to the revocation remains unaffected.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to adjust our security and data protection measures. In such cases we will also update our privacy policy accordingly.
