In summer 2024 we began the biggest chapter in our history so far. We started converting the former tennis hall at Industriestrasse 2 in Birmensdorf into the new Home of Bardogs ourselves. With enormous personal effort, the support of professionals and the passionate commitment of our community, our new home was created step by step.
A major effort for the community
The renovation was a huge milestone and a true labour of love. The hall was completely repainted, a raised floor was installed for optimal training conditions and the entire infrastructure modernized. We renovated and expanded the toilets and showers and built an entirely new, accessible restroom. The kitchen and the lounge area were also completely redesigned to create a place that perfectly connects training and community.
Almost everything was carried out by ourselves. Far more than just time went into this gym: it is pure passion. You can feel this special feeling and the energy of countless hours of work in every corner of the hall today.

Home of Bardogs 2.0: the largest calisthenics gym in Switzerland
Today the Home of Bardogs offers over 800 m² of space for a wide range of training forms such as calisthenics, streetlifting, functional training, aerial and pole training or combat sports. The generous layout allows for structured training and an atmosphere that motivates and inspires every day.
Our journey is not over yet. The next project is designing the terrace, which we will complete in summer 2026. With each step we further develop the gym and implement valuable input from our community. Our goal remains the same: to create a place that makes people stronger physically and mentally.
